Review

Saturated ruby-blue to the rim. Penetrating, primary aromas of blackberry, violet, gunflint and game. Superripe but primary and juicy, with bright fruit flavors framed by adequate acidity. Still a bit liqueur-like, but this shows much better balance than the Hop Barn Hill example. Not yet complex, but this very promising syrah should be a fascinating wine to follow as it evolves in bottle.
