The finest of this trio is the 2006 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch (575 cases), which displays a gorgeous perfume of kirsch liqueur, black raspberries, forest floor, wet stones, and spice box. It is full-bodied, with fabulous concentration, a multi-layered mid-palate, and a silky, long finish that lasts nearly 45 seconds. This is a stunningly hedonistic as well as intellectually pleasing red to drink over the next 5-6 years.
