Opaque ruby. An explosive, seductively perfumed bouquet displays scents of black and blue fruit preserves, potpourri, woodsmoke and Indian spices. Sappy, penetrating and pure, offering sweet boysenberry and cassis flavors and exotic floral pastille and allspice qualities. Smooth and velvety in texture, with outstanding clarity and focus on the long, clinging finish. This is about as suave as zinfandel gets.
