This cuvee possesses 8% residual sugar, and it compares admirably with a Southern Rhone Beaumes Muscat de Venise dessert wine. Honeyed pear, lychee, apricot marmalade and spring flower aromas jump from the glass of this fragrant wine. The residual sugar gives the impression of sweetness, but the wine is by no means cloying. The alcohol level is 15.9%, so this is a large-scaled, potent dessert wine that is probably best consumed at the end of the meal as dessert.
